Getting Minty
A few weeks back our family started an organic garden! We built raised garden beds for the first time in our new house. We were so excited that our local plant store offered tons of herb plants from Gilbertie's Herb Farm right here in Easton, CT. We scooped up a bunch to plant in our garden and keep in planters on our deck to use all summer long. Not much excites us more than fresh local herbs for home cooking.
If you know Alicia and I, you know we LOVE a good cocktail. We typically dine out frequently, so restaurants being closed due to COVID19 really changed our lifestyle. Alicia has become creative in the kitchen, whipping up delicious craft cocktails right here at home. We love using all kinds of specialty mixers and fresh ingredients, so naturally our elderberry syrup often works perfectly in many drinks we come up with.
These Elderberry Mint Mojitos are perfect for a summer evening. They are slightly sweet, totally refreshing, and the elderberry & mint combination makes them taste absolutely lovely! These mojitos are easy to make with simple ingredients but are sure to make you feel like you are enjoying a cocktail out. I am so excited for you to give them a try!
